What are the Requirements?

Early childhood education diploma/ degree or equivalent.

In good standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators. (CECEs)

Deep knowledge and experience to implement Ontario’s Kindergarten Program, 2016 in partnership with Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years, How Does Learning Happen?

Understanding of the Child Care and Early Years Act, CCEYA, 2014

Belief that children are naturally inquisitive with a capacity of deep thought

Passion for growth and continuous learning in emergent curriculum, Reggio Emelia approach and pedogogical documentation

Experience in play and inquiry based curriculum and nature based learning

Commitment to build trusting, responsive relationships through open communication and mutual respect among children, family, educators

Strong ability to collaborate with families, children and the entire team
